Calling all competitive BBQ teams! Edgerton is holding its inaugural Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned event this October. Meat Inferno will take place in downtown Edgerton on October 7 & 8th. We’ll have live music and a fire performance on Friday night. While the public won’t be allowed to taste the teams BBQ offerings, we’ll tantalize your tastebuds with some delicious food truck offerings.

Bring the kids out to compete in the Kids ‘Q Contest on Friday night. Sponsored by ColdPoint Logistics, kids ages 5-15 can show off their cooking skills and build a great burger. Parents can help with the dangerous stuff, but the kids must do most of the work. This is free to enter. The top young chefs in each age bracket will win a $100 Visa gift card.

If you’re not a KCBS barbeque competitor, you can still show off your grilling skills in a Backyard Burger contest on Saturday morning. It’s just $25 to enter and 1st Place will win a $200 Visa gift card.
