Rain Garden Workshop
September 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The City of Edgerton is partnering with the Hillsdale Watershed Coalition to host a public workshop outlining the immense benefits of native landscaping practices for our communities. Urban Conservationist, Chris Cardwell, will lead a discussion of the various ecosystem, stormwater, and economic benefits of “going native” in your yards and properties and will detail the process that residents in Southwest Johnson County can follow to receive a quick return on their investment in native plants.
Homeowners who install rain gardens or other conservation measures may be eligible for a 90% rebate on their project. This program is made possible, in part, by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s WRAPS funds. Join us for this informative and inspiring conversation about all the incentives in place to make your landscape a thriving, beautiful, and resilient one.
