From our annual holiday decorating contest to the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with a special visit from Santa, Edgerton is the perfect place to call home this holiday season.
Edgerton has always watched over our neighbors by helping those who would otherwise not have the resources to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones by providing gifts, food and other items.
In 2019, Edgerton will host several fundraisers for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund, which helps out people right here in the community. Some of the projects done in the past include: renovating a bathroom to make it handicap accessible for a woman with MS; helping a resident who was in the hospital come home to a safe space; and giving gifts to families who would otherwise go without during the holiday season.
This year, our first Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund event will be a trivia night at White Tail Run Winery in Edgerton on November 1, 2019. Tickets are $20 each or $100 for a table of six. We’ll also offer free child care for children in grades K-6 at Edgerton Elementary.
The Christmas Tree Decorating contest is back too. The 4-ft. tall plywood trees are $40 each, with all the money raised going to the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund. Groups must register by Oct. 21. Trees will be available for pickup on October 28 and must be returned by November 29. The decorated trees will be on display at the annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in December. The community will vote for their favorites and the top three will win a prize.
