The City of Edgerton is pleased to announce that we are searching for a Public Works Director! The Public Works Director is a new position and will play a key role in planning, developing and managing capital improvement projects and maintenance activities throughout the City. The Public Works Director will be a valued member of the City’s management team. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who values the relationship between infrastructure and economic development activities. A skilled relationship builder, the Public Works Director excels at representing the City with our partners. He/she possesses exceptional project management skills and has a passion for seeing projects through from conception to construction. To that end, as a project manager, the Public Works Director is deadline driven and will ensure projects are delivered on time and within the approved budget. The candidate places an equally high value on maintaining existing infrastructure assets. Ideally, the Public Works Director has a demonstrated record of successfully securing and leveraging grants and outside resources to maximize infrastructure investments.
The salary range for this position is $79,896 – $93,896. The starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience. The City offers an attractive benefits package, including affordable medical, dental and vision programs, optional deferred compensation, vacation and sick leave, group life insurance and an array of voluntary benefits. The City participates in the Kansas Public Employees Retirement Systems (KPERS).
