Topics include hunter responsibility and ethics\, fair chase\, firearm history and basics\, ammunition\, gun and field safety\, bowhunting\, conservation and wildlife management\, Kansas wildlife\, outdoor emergencies\, state hunting regulations\, and boating safety for hunters. \nLed by a team of four to five certified volunteer instructors\, the class blends lectures and hands-on learning. All study materials are provided by the State of Kansas.
