We need you! The City of Edgerton has a seat open on the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission is responsible for updating the comprehensive plan for the City and revising the Unified Development Code. They also conduct public hearings for zoning, platting, and subdivision of Edgerton lands. Commissioners must also make sure any new development preserves property values, public health and safety, and the enjoyment of property.
The Commissioners, after hearing from the public and developers, then recommend a course of action to the Governing Body.
This incredibly important role helps shape Edgerton’s future.
If you’d like to serve your community, please email Mayor Donald Roberts at mayor@edgertonks.org and include your name, address and a short letter describing why you want to volunteer.
The Planning Commission normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in City Hall.
