
Come work with us! The City of Edgerton is seeking a motivated, self-starter for an opening in our utility department. The Utility Maintenance Technician III works under the direct supervision of the Utility Superintendent. This skilled position will perform various duties and tasks necessary for the operation of public utilities facilities and associated utility assets for the City of Edgerton. This position performs work for both water and wastewater utility departments, including daily, monthly, and annual water monitoring and testing as well as regular inspections and cleaning of infrastructure. Less experienced candidates are eligible for Utility Maintenance Technician I or II.

The anticipated wage depends on level of experience.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and must successfully pass pre-employment screenings, such as background check, physical and drug check. Experience is not required for the Utility Maintenance Technician I level, and the City will provide appropriate training for the successful candidate(s). Experienced candidates should possess a Class II Water Operator or Wastewater Certification with the ability to obtain a Class III certification within one year.

The City of Edgerton is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician I-Parks department. The City of Edgerton is a team-oriented environment, where employees work together to deliver quality services to the community. This is an entry level position and will be responsible for performing maintenance activities that include mowing and trimming, maintenance, repair and upkeep of city parks, public grounds and public facilities. This position will also be required to perform snow removal and other emergency services on an as needed basis and the position is required to perform on-call duties.

The anticipated hourly wage for these positions starts at $15.64, varying depending on level of experience.

Experience is not required, and the City will provide appropriate training for the successful candidate(s). If a candidate exceeds the qualifications of a Maintenance Technician I, the City could reserve the ability to higher the candidate at the Maintenance Technician II level.
