The City of Edgerton is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an Accountant. This new position will work under the supervision of the Finance Director. He/she is responsible for the completion of accounting tasks of varying degrees of responsibility and complexity. The ideal candidate has governmental budget and accounting experience. He/she is detail oriented, with a strong mathematical acumen. The City of Edgerton is a fast-paced work environment requiring applicants to transition between tasks quickly. The successful candidate is self-motivating requiring limited supervision. However, he/she must demonstrate a team-oriented approach to work and an ability to establish strong working relationships.

The City of Edgerton is currently accepting applications Maintenance Worker I in both the Parks and Public Works departments.  The City of Edgerton is a team-oriented environment, where employees work together to deliver quality services to the community.

This is an entry level position and will be responsible for performing park maintenance activities that include mowing and trimming, ball field maintenance, playground maintenance and repair and other duties as necessary. This position will be required to perform on-call duties. This position will also be required to perform snow removal and other emergency services on an as needed basis.

The City of Edgerton offers a comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental and vision insurance; participation in the Kansas Public Employee Retirement System (KPERS); supplemental retirement, including a 457(b); paid leave benefits, in addition to other voluntary benefit programs.  The anticipated hourly wage for these positions is $15.14 to $16.00.  

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and must successfully pass pre-employment screenings, such as background check, physical and drug check.  Experience is not required, and the City will provide appropriate training for the successful candidate(s).
