On January 11 at 1 p.m., the City of Edgerton officially declared a snow event. This means that all vehicles must be removed from city streets within 2 hours, under City Code.
If your vehicle is not removed, the Sheriff’s Office may be called and vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.
The City declares a snow event any time more than 2 inches of snow falls. Vehicles must be moved to allow plows to navigate narrow streets and more effectively remove snow.
Plow crews are working 12 hour shifts and will continue to plow until the roads are clear. Drivers should give plows extra space.
Once the snow stops, sidewalks must be cleared within 48 hours. Community members have until Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. to shovel sidewalks.
Thank you for your assistance to make our streets safe during this winter weather event.
