The City of Edgerton will host the annual low-cost animal vaccine clinic at City Hall on March 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. You can also pick up your annual City pet license during the clinic.
Dogs and cats can receive a rabies vaccine for $10. A distemper vaccine is $15. The cost to microchip your pet is $20.
Pet licenses are $5 each for spayed and neutered dogs and cats. Registration is free for those age 60 and older. Non-spayed or unneutered animals can be registered with the City for $25.
“Registering your pets with the City helps Animal Control quickly identify your pet and get them back home safely. Registration requires a current rabies vaccination,” says Animal Control Officer Charlie Lydon. “Vaccinating your pets for rabies not only protects them from a fatal and preventable disease, it also helps ensure public safety because rabies is transmittable to humans.”
All animals six months of age or older must be registered by March 31 to avoid a $25 penalty.
