Aug. 16, 2021 UPDATE:
The free chlorine burn has been rescheduled to begin on August 18th. If you notice any chlorine taste or smell in your water, flush your lines by running the water for several minutes. This is temporary and not harmful. The water quality will not change during the burn. The Edgerton Utilities Department is committed to keeping your water safe.
Aug. 9, 2021:
A free chlorine burn that was scheduled to begin August 9th has been postponed. The City of Edgerton is continuing to work with our water partners to reschedule the free chlorine burn, which helps to optimize the disinfection process in our water lines.
