As part of The Greenspace construction, the contractor will begin demolition work on the curbs and sidewalks along the north side of Nelson Street between E 4th and E 3rd Street on May 23. During the work, Nelson Street will be closed to traffic.
After Memorial Day demolition of curbs and sidewalk will continue followed by construction of the new streetscape on the north side with new sidewalk, curbs, parking, and asphalt surface.
The road and sidewalks will be closed after Memorial Day and likely through the first half of June followed by occasional road closures until early to mid-July. Dates are subject to change due to weather or contractor schedule changes.
This work will impact parking outside of the downtown businesses. Patrons are urged to park along 4th Street. Please do not block access to the alleyway behind the Post Office.
