City of Edgerton to Conduct Housing Windshield Survey As Part of Comprehensive Planning Process

Kara Banks City News

The City of Edgerton is excited to announce a housing windshield survey for the City’s new Comprehensive Plan. This survey will supplement the housing chapter within the Comprehensive Plan and provide the City with an up-to-date understanding of the exterior conditions of homes in Edgerton.

The housing windshield survey will be conducted by the consultant team on June 7th, 2022. The consultant team, Confluence, will be driving around neighborhoods, visually assessing each home from the street utilizing an online software to take inventory of the housing type, exterior conditions, and other contributing features. Homeowners will not have to contribute any information to the survey. The data produced from this survey will allow the City, and other local organizations, to explore funding opportunities and incentives to rehabilitate the existing housing stock in Edgerton and improve the quality of life for residents.

Should you have any questions regarding the housing windshield survey or the comprehensive planning process, please contact Development Services Director Katy Crow by calling City Hall at 913.893.6231.
