Kara BanksCity News

The owners of properties in the vicinity of Gardner Road, between 199th and 215th Street, in the City of Edgerton have petitioned to rezone the land from Johnson County RUR to Edgerton L-P Logistics Park for the purpose of constructing and operating a light manufacturing or distribution center. A public hearing will be held during the Planning Commission meeting on January 12 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The public is invited to attend in-person. Commission members will attend virtually. Masks are required in City Hall. If you cannot attend but wish to submit testimony, please email Kara Banks at kbanks@edgertonks.org or call 913-893-6231. All written comments received before the close of business (4:30 p.m.) on January 12 will be shared with the Planning Commission.

COVID PRECAUTIONS: Masks are required in City Hall and seating will be socially distanced. The room will be configured in compliance with the 6′ spacing requirement. If the main meeting room reaches capacity, an overflow area will be available in the Johnson County Library across the street from City Hall at 319 E Nelson. Live audio will be provided in the overflow area. Anyone wishing to testify at the public hearing who is not seated in the main meeting room will need to sign in and provide a cellphone number so they can be notified when it is their turn to comment.
