On Wednesday, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced that she would extend the Stay Home Order until midnight on May 3. The peak of the COVID-19 disease is expected to hit in the coming days. Governor Kelly says her administration will use the next few weeks to come up with plans to gradually reopen the economy.

The City of Edgerton continues to monitor guidance and orders from the CDC, the State of Kansas and Johnson County, and we look forward to the bringing our community back together.

“Just continue what you’ve been doing: wash your hands, cover your cough, wear a mask in public, and stay healthy,” says Mayor Donald Roberts. “In the meantime, let’s do our best to support our neighbors and families until this is over. And in the words of Edgerton’s own Dr. Big Sis, ‘Just stay home.'”
