Streetlight Study and Inventory Project Underway

Kara BanksCity News

The City of Edgerton is conducting a streetlight inventory.  The 2022 Citizen Survey revealed adequate street lighting to be the top priority for City maintenance services.  The project consists of reviewing the City’s current streetlights, recommendations for street lighting standards and design, and an analysis of a potential buy-out of Evergy owned lighting equipment.

The City hired Olsson, Inc. to conduct this lighting analysis.  As part of this project, a team from Olsson will be driving around Edgerton on Thursday and Friday, January 19 and 20 to take pictures and measurements of the City’s streetlights.

If you have any questions or concerns about this project, please contact CIP Manager Brian Stanley at City Hall at 913-893-6231.
