Crews continue to make progress on the first new brick building in downtown Edgerton in more than 100 years. The Greenspace building broke ground last August and remains on schedule to open in early 2025.
The exterior brick is up on much of the building. Installation of the underground systems for the splashpad and stormwater system is nearly complete. The Greenspace project also includes new curbs and sidewalks along with additional parking along Nelson Street.
Beginning April 23, the new curbs along the south side of Nelson Street between E 3rd and E 4th will be constructed. During this work, Nelson Street will be closed. The closures will last for a couple hours at a time and only occur between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Anyone needing access to the businesses, post office, or library can park along E 4th Street during these closures.
