What You Need To Know: Community Picnic and Fireworks Show

The Edgerton Community Picnic and Fireworks Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 3rd at Martin Creek Park. If you’re coming to the event, here are a few things you need to know:

Park Closed for Set-Up

Only event staff is allowed in Martin Creek Park during set-up. The park closes to the public on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m. on Saturday for the event.

Parking and Shuttle Bus

Parking at Martin Creek Park is limited. Due to the recent wet weather, parking in the grass may not be available. Additional parking is available across the street in Big Bull Creek Park. We encourage event goers to use the shuttle bus. Stops are made at City Hall (404 E Nelson Street) and at Edgerton Elementary School (400 W Nelson Street). The shuttle will run from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Click here for the map.

Seating

Please bring blankets and chairs to the park. Limited bleacher and picnic table seating is available, but it is first come, first served. Canopies are allowed, but you will need to put it away at dusk.

Schedule of Events

5 p.m. – Gates open at Martin Creek Park
6 p.m. – Community Picnic begins
8:30 p.m. – Bounce houses, face painter, hair painter booths close
9:45 p.m. – Fireworks (time is approximate)
