Planning Commission Continues Vote on Rezoning Application to February

Kara Banks City News

After closing the public hearing held on January 12th on applications to rezone seven parcels of land, the Edgerton Planning Commission continued the matters to their February meeting.  Commissioners requested more information from staff regarding the economic impact of such zoning on similar parcels and their neighboring properties after listening to testimony from nearby property owners and the developer.

The February meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Edgerton City Hall on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. The City has limited space to due COVID restrictions, so occupancy of City Hall will be limited to approximately 30 people.  An overflow space will be available at the Library across the street with an occupancy of approximately 40 people.

Once the planning commission recommends an approval or denial of the rezoning applications, the rezoning applications will be considered by the City Council at a future City Council meeting.
