Meat Inferno BBQ Competition

Our annual BBQ competition has moved to September!

Get fired up for a sizzling weekend packed with bold flavors, live entertainment, and smoky showdowns! Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, this event brings top BBQ teams from across the region to battle it out and showcase their best ribs, brisket, chicken, and pork.

The fun kicks off Friday night with a community celebration featuring a delicious BBQ dinner, full bar, live music, and an exciting street performer. Young pitmasters can also take center stage during our annual KidsQ, where kids ages 5–15 compete to grill up mouth-watering burgers for local judges. On Saturday, visiting KCBS teams go head-to-head in four official meat categories, while local grill masters can prove their skills in our backyard competition. Registration for both community contests opens this summer—so bring the heat, show us what you’ve got, and join us for a weekend of great food, great music, and unforgettable BBQ!
