City offices closed, events canceled on Jan. 9

Kara Banks City News

Edgerton City Offices are closed on Tuesday, January 9 due to inclement weather conditions. This will help keep vehicles off the streets and keep employees safe during the storm.

Crews will continue to work 12 hour shifts to plow and treat the roads. The most heavily traveled roads are treated first, followed by neighborhood streets.

Residents must move vehicles off the streets once more than 2 inches of snow falls to give plows room to clear roads. More information about how the City responds to winter weather can be found here.

Public Meetings:

The Planning Commission Meeting scheduled for Jan. 9 is canceled. All agenda items will be moved to the February agenda.

Other Closures:

Tales for Tots at the Edgerton Library has been canceled. The Library will still open at 1 p.m. this afternoon as scheduled.

The Edgerton Brush Pile is closed due to wet conditions. Please contact City Hall to schedule a drop-off.

Trash service will be delayed one day this week. Gardner Disposal Service plans to pick up trash on Thursday.

Johnson County Home Delivered Meals program and Catch-A-Ride services are canceled. Shelf stable meals are delivered at the beginning of winter. They are to be used in the event that a hot meal cannot be delivered.
