On November 2, the City of Edgerton received a second citizen initiative petition concerning battery energy storage solutions, or BESS. The City has submitted this petition to Johnson County Election Office to verify the signatures as described in Kansas Law. Once that process is complete if the petition is deemed valid, it will be considered at a future city council meeting in accordance with state law.
