Frontier Days Road Closures and Parking Information

Kara Banks City News

The annual Frontier Days Festival returns to downtown Edgerton on June 16 & 17. This year’s festival features many long-time favorite events, like the ice cream social, cutest baby contest, fun zone, and live bands! See the full event schedule at edgertonfrontierdays.com for details.

A dedicated group of volunteers known as the Frontier Days Association puts on this family-friendly community event. We thank them for their service and dedication to the community!

Road Closures

A map showing the road closure in blue, the no parking area in red, and no parking on one side of the street in yellow.

To prepare for the event, several roads will be blocked off and parking restricted around the festival.

Beginning the evening of Thursday, June 15*, East 4th Street from Nelson to McCarty will close for the amusement vendor to begin set-up. On Friday, June 16, Nelson Street between East 3rd and East 5th will be closed to traffic to allow for set-up of the festival. The E. 4th Street closure will also be extended to the alley south of the Library.

*Edgerton Frontier Days notified the City that the closure of East 4th needed to begin on Thursday evening, instead of Friday morning because the amusement vendor would be arriving earlier. They had received prior approval from City Council for the street closure on Thursday, but initially did not plan to need Thursday evening for set-up.

Nelson Street will be temporarily closed to traffic between West 8th and East 5th streets on Saturday, June 18 during the parade, which begins at 10 a.m.

Roads reopen on Sunday at noon.

Truck traffic must use the posted truck route during the festival.
