Keep an eye on your mailbox—Edgerton’s 2025 State of the City is on its way! This year’s report is packed with big accomplishments, exciting developments, and a bright vision for the community’s future.
From the grand opening of The Greenspace to the launch of the Senior Property Tax Rebate and H.O.M.E. Improvement Grant programs, Edgerton continues to make strategic investments that strengthen our neighborhoods and bring people together. The new Greenspace facility, which welcomed more than 300 guests at its ribbon-cutting, offers a gym, fitness rooms, and rentable event space for residents of all ages.
Our Parks and Recreation team also had a banner year with the total renovation of Glendell Acres Park and improvements at Manor and Martin Creek Parks. Later this year, planning begins for a major revitalization of Martin Creek Park, the largest in our system.
Major infrastructure projects are moving forward. In late spring 2025, construction begins on the East 2nd Street and Edgewood reconstruction project. The City will also make additional upgrades to sewer and wastewater systems to support future development. Plus, with tax abatements at Logistics Park Kansas City beginning to expire, more revenue will help fund roads, parks, and amenities.
Edgerton is also growing! The Dwyer Farms housing development is under construction, Scoopy’s Café is opening downtown, and new businesses like IHOP and Maverik are open.
Mayor Roberts, City Council, and staff are proud to share everything we’ve accomplished together—and what’s still to come.
